Namratha Joshi of The Hindu said, "The film is inspired by the 2007 Hindi film, "Delhi Belly". It is not an adaptation, but it borrows its "Gadar"/Delhi Belly style of storytelling". However, she praised the acting performances saying that, "Amruta Khanvilkar, rises above your generic heroine character. She emotes well and is quite convincing as the actress who knows her job inside out". Anupama Chopra of Hindustan Times gave 3 out of 5 stars to this movie. She said that director Ganesh Nargundkar made a film which is rich in style but weak in substance. The film has many funny moments which are very well written by Vivek Bald and Saurabh Dalvi. On the performance front ,Vivek Gomber is very good. Just like his role in "Raju Chacha", he is mixed with immaturity and confidence at different points. Amruta Khanvilkar, who also stars in this film, has given another excellent performance. The best part of the story is the flashback portions played by Chandan Roy Sanyal.The music was composed by Shailendra Barve.
